You may already be familiar with http://www.alexa.com that attempts to rank all the websites on the world wide web according to their traffic.

There's another traffic ranking website at http://www.trafficranking.com (officially named Ranking.com) ~ they claim to rank the top 750,000 websites on the Internet. The rankings are generated through the users of the 7Search toolbar. Like Alexa, you will have to take Ranking.com's rankings with a grain of salt as they are not totally accurate. However, I did cross-reference a few websites and both ranking sites seem to produce relatively similar sites ~ give or take a few thousand.

One thing that doesn't make sense on Ranking.com is the visitors, visits and page views stats. They don't seem to change much as you move down the rankings. Until they improve that function, I would disregard that statistic.

What does your rank mean? The lower the number, the higher your traffic ranking. In other words, sites with low numbers have more traffic.

What is Ranking Information Useful for?
~ Compare your site to your competitors. Although, the ultimate measure of a site's success is sales rather than visitors, it is a good indication of how your competition might be doing.
~ Looking for places to advertise - sites with a ranking of 400,000+ will not likely have more than a few visitors each day. However, take that estimation with a grain of salt as there are many factors involved in a website's ranking.
